Dear Friends,
We trust you all survived the long winter and enjoyed the spring. This time of year always makes us think of new life, renewal, and being refreshed. Many of you will work in the yard and do some cleaning and repairs around the house. We at Forever Yours Ministries would like to encourage you to think about your marriages as well. Perhaps your marriage needs some “sprucing up.” Maybe you could plant some words of kindness, sow some seeds of forgiveness or till up some romance. Whatever your marriage needs, we want to help you achieve the marriage you desire.
The 2008 Weekend Marriage Retreat will be held October 3-5, in Branson, Missouri. Our speakers will be Wayne & Wanda Skeen, pastors of Gregory Hills Church of God (Holiness) in Kansas City, Missouri. They have two children and two grandchildren (and another on the way). We are eager to learn what they have to share with us.
Forever Yours Ministries is now offering payment plans for the 2008 Weekend Marriage Retreat. We understand the financial challenges that are associated with spending a weekend out of town and are constantly looking for opportunities to keep the costs as reasonable as possible. Also, if you would like to assist someone else in coming to the Retreat this year, please contact us via telephone or email.
There is also some exciting news to announce. Wayne & Mary Lou Sams have joined the Forever Yours Ministries Board of Directors. We have appreciated the Sams’ ministry the last two years as they shared practical lessons that have helped many of us in our walk with our spouse and our walk with God.
So mark your calendar now for October 3-5, 2008. The Retreat will be held at Thousand Hills Golf Resort in Branson, Missouri. One, two, and three bedroom condos are now available. There are exciting activities planned for Friday evening, power-packed sessions on Saturday and Sunday, and “Date Night” on Saturday night. This all-inclusive weekend begins at $295 per couple!
