Spring 2009 Newsletter
Dear Friends,
Have you ever experienced all four seasons in a rather short amount of time? One day we are reminded of the warm rains of spring, followed by a warm summer day, only to have it grayed out by a blanket of snow followed by a cool autumn wind? We experience many different seasons in our lives and our marriages are no exception. Perhaps you are in the midst of spring; you are anticipating the arrival of a new baby, a new job, or a new beginning. Maybe you are in the midst of a warm summer day; just enjoying life and relaxing. It could be that your marriage is in the midst of a deep winter storm. You’re wrapped with shades of gray and the storm doesn’t seem to be letting up. It might be the cool of autumn that has set in and you don’t know what to expect next. No matter where you find your relationships right now, Christ is right there with you. He wants to help you and your spouse have the marriage that you were made to have. The covenant relationship with our spouse deserves our full attention.
We are so excited to announce the 2009 Forever Yours Ministries Weekend Retreat, October 2-4, 2009, at Thousand Hills Golf Resort. Our staff has been busy planning the best retreat yet, and we hope that you are making plans to attend. We understand how the economy has affected so many, and for this reason, there will be no price increase this year. We are also offering payment plans to help accommodate monthly payments over the next six months. Please complete the Registration Form and return it with the first payment voucher.
We are pleased to introduce you to our guest speakers, Ed and Sharon Rotz. Ed & Sharon have been married for 38 years and reside in Topeka, Kansas. Ed and Sharon have been involved in ministry for 35 years. He is currently the Kansas District Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church, while Sharon spends a couple of days each week working among the geriatric population at a nursing and rehabilitation center. Ed has completed graduate work at Kansas State University in the area of marriage and family therapy. We are so excited to see what God will share with us through Ed and Sharon.
